The dissertation focuses on the historical development of comparative pedagogic as a field of scientific knowledge, description and definition of its main methodological paradigms (descriptive, ideographic and empirically-analytic), historical aspects of secondary schools, professional schools and high schools functioning and reforming in European countries in the second half of the XX century, current issues and recent trends of incessant educative system development in highly progressive European countries, integration processes in sphere of education in European area, and on the matters of national education system reforming in the context of European experience and perspectives of Ukraine becoming a member of European education area
