Essay

The dissertation is concerned with an integrated study of forming and developing the content and methods of pre-service teacher training at Lviv University in 1812 - 1939. Socio-political and socio-cultural preconditions for the formation of teacher training are revealed on the basis of archival sources and scientific literature. The research singles out the main stages of developing the institutional forms of teacher training in the higher education establishment of Lviv during the investigated period.
