Bryzhnik V. Emancipation of the personality in the critical theory of society of Theodor Adorno and Jurgen Habermas

The thesis investigates the problem of emancipation of a personality, worked up by German social philosophers T.Adorno and J.Habermas, representatives of critical theory. T.Adorno's and J.Habermas' personal vision of structural components of personality of European society and especially of its social-cultural reproduction is distinguished. According to T.Adornos and J.Habermas social-philosophical works it is analyzed the essence of civilization factors of negative influence on forming of personality. There are determined T.Adorno's and J.Habermas' individual approaches to the theoretical grounds of a realization of practical emancipation of personality. It is considered the specific of social-cultural contexts within which by T.Adorno and J.Habermas there was explicated the social-philosophical knowledge as a factor of personal emancipation. T.Adorno's and J.Habermas' social-philosophical approaches to the emancipation of personality were applied to the cognition of social-cultural realities of Ukrainian society.
