Stetsenko N. News media texts in the Ukrainian mass media edited in the Russian language: semanitcs, structure, pragmatics.

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the structural-semantic and pragmatic specifics of polycode texts in the Ukrainian mass media edited in the Russian language. News media texts in the modern mass media edited in Russian are represented in the dissertation as various types of informational journalistic texts, the characteristic of which, along with delivering of information, is a considerable influential potential. Media potential of the graphic mass media allows applying both verbal and non-verbal components which has given rise to considering their polycode character in the research of the news media texts edited in Russian. The analysis of the structure and semantics of the news media texts in Russian has been made on the basis of the existing news categories "hard" - "mild" that differ in pastiche on both verbal and non-verbal levels. In terms of pragmatic aspect the following linguistic means of the news media text have been analyzed: components of the factual information (terms, clich?s, proper names and quantitative elements), quotations, expressives. It has been stated that the above mentioned language means along with the paralinguistic components of news information have a considerable influential potential.
