Essay

The estimation of the genetic diversity of five grain amaranth species on morphological variation, isoenzym and DNA polymorphism was carried out. A high level of amaranth accessions variation on morphological and molecular-genetic traits on interspecies, intraspecies and intrapopulation levels was ascertained. The biggest contribution of morphological variation and ISSR polymorphism to general level of genetic variation of studied amaranth species was pointed out.
