Garapko V. Information technologies in the training system of primary school teachers in the UK

The dissertation deals with the problem of introducing information technology in the system of initial teacher education for primary school in the UK. A number of important resolutions on international educational multimedia software and training teachers to work with educational multimedia software were analyzed. Having done periodization of the UK government strategy on informatization of initial teacher education and clarified current priorities of development those are consistent with the general approach of the EU on the development of ICT education. The essence and content analyzes of modern ICT competency standards of primary school teachers. Examined the recommendations suggest that Ukrainian education needs to bring all of IKTs components to generally accepted international standards that meet the highest international standards, including in the field of computer technology. The special workshop "Information technology and new methods of teaching in primary school (the UK case)" was prepared.
