Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of the research competence of primary school teachers in the process of professional training. The theoretical analysis of the psychological and educational literature on the problem has been made, to characterize prerequisite training of primary school teachers' and the formation of research competence in particular. Diagnostic tools for integrated assessment of readiness of future teachers to scientific and research activities has been developed, which revealed the dynamics of students' research competence formedness. The model of research competence of primary school teachers as structural and functional invariant of educational activities as a system, represented by goal-setting, theoretical and methodological, content and methodology, organizational, technological, evaluative and diagnostic units, as well as feedback mechanism has been developed and tested. Pedagogical conditions for its implementation were theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested. Logical consequence of the research competence system runs under the established scheme: from its original state formedness to identification of gradual and purposeful ways and means of acquisition of necessary professional research characteristics.
