Lytvynchuk O. Identity as a problem of a marginal individual: social and philosophical analysis

Dissertation is dedicated to actualization and social and philosophical conceptualization of identity as a problem of marginal individual. The methodological principles for the research of marginal individual identity in social philosophy are analyzed. Marginality as a significant feature of modern life and an important problem of social philosophy is proved. The fundamental unity between marginal individual phenomena and his/her identity is shown; the latter is defined as a pivotal issue of a marginal individual. The essence of a marginal individual is discovered, its notions are stated. The main dimensions of a marginal individual identity are analyzed. The state of marginal processes in modern Ukraine is considered. The main contexts of marginal identity in Ukrainian society are shown.
