Essay

The subject of thesis is comprehensive analysis of the process of formation and development of the press of Ukrainian national democratic forces in 1989-1996. Moreover, the author analyzes the social-political conditions under which these processes occurred and also the character of interrelations of the government and the press of the opposition. As a result of the research of a great number of democratic publications, widespread methods and forms of the struggle of the conservative part of the leaders of the Ukrainian SSR against the editorial staff keeping to anti-Soviet position have been elucidated.
