Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation in extracurricular activities. In the paper the level of the problem development in the pedagogical theory and practice is analyzed; the essence of the concept “communicative competence» regarding boarding primary school students is specified and its structure is determined; the specificity of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation in extracurricular activities is determined; the criteria and indicators are developed and the levels of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation are detected; the structural and functional model of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation in extracurricular activities is developed and tested. The pedagogical conditions of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation in extracurricular activities are proved and tested, namely: comprehensive boarding school teachers’ methodical training in the formation of primary school students’ communicative competence for providing the subject-subject interaction; the content and methodological support of boarding primary school students’ communicative competence formation in extracurricular activities; the involvement of boarding primary school students into different types of joint activities as a means of interpersonal communication activation.
