Golubovska L. Ukrainian Urban Youth in socio-political changes in the late XX - XXI centuries.

Based on representative range of published and archival sources and large amount of literature the thesis researches the place and role of Ukrainian urban youth in socio-political changes in late XX - XXI centuries. In given work changes of approach of an independent state and public institutions to social problems of young workers in the cities were revised. The influence of social factors on social well-being of the young generation was determined. Changes in the number, regional location, social and qualification structure, family relations were studied. Activity of different governmental levels on questions of employment, vocational retraining and training, housing of urban youth was analyzed. The author reviewed actions of the state and public sector on attracting young people to socio-political initiatives and clarified their effectiveness. Based on analysis of multiple socio-economic, political, legal and historical factors was made an attempt of comprehensive analysis of the essential characteristics of youth: ideology, social consciousness, political self-determination, religion, spirituality, attitude towards civilization values - leisure, nutrition, care for their own health, etc. For the first time in national historiography was shown the urban youth value in development of economic potential and expansion of cultural space of an independent state.
