Essay

The thesis is aimed at settlement of the urgent issue - development of technical and technological activities related to intensification of wastewater treatment plant operation adjusted for enhanced removal of biogenic compounds. It has been developed improved plant design method and effluent quality prediction method by means of mathematical simulation. Application of these methods contributes to performance assessment of process schemes both at reconstruction of the existing plants or at construction of the new plants. It has been developed a peculiar method of handling of the initial data required for calculation execution as to ASM mathematical models. For the first time it has been fulfilled computational and theoretical assessment of effectiveness of the known process schemes on nitrogen and phosphorous removal at municipal wastewater treatment in respect to wastewater composition typical for Ukrainian cities. It has been developed new wastewater treatment process scheme aimed at improvement of nitrogen and phosphorous compounds removal from municipal wastewater, containing insufficient amount of oxidized organic compounds. It has been executed industrial testing of the developed technical solutions on enhanced removal of biogenic elements at wastewater treatment.
