The thesis deals with the legal and psychological principles of professional deformation prevention of medium security level penitentiary employees. Scientific developments on the subject have been analyzed, allowing us to form a scientific novelty. The concept and content of professional deformation has been studied, and its features in medium security level penitentiary employees have been revealed. A medium security level penitentiary as an environment of employee professional deformation has been studied, as well as their legal status. A medium security level penitentiary employee and its personal and functional professional deformation determinants have been characterized.
