Korneykov A. Epizootology of enzootic bovine leukosis in the Central-Eastern Region of Ukraine, development and improvement of diagnostic tools.

The dissertation is dedicated to the analysis of the enzootic bovine leukosis epizootic situation in years 1997-2011 in the Central-Eastern Region and Ukraine as a whole, the implementation and effectiveness of antileukemic measures in livestock farms, the study of the bovine leukemia virus genetic characteristics in different areas of Ukraine, increasing of FLK BLV cell culture antigen producing capability and component of diagnostic test systems standardization (AGID, ELISA). It is established, that in the Central-Eastern Region the epizootic situation of bovine leucosis was more intensive than in Ukraine in general, and conducted sanitary measures in the region were more effective. The primary structure of the BLV circulating in livestock farms in Ukraine provirus DNA env gene fragments, showed no significant changes depending on the geographic region and has the highest degree of homology with BLV European subgroup env gene fragment. The effect of the histone deacetylase inhibitor sodium valproate on the FLK BLV cell culture antigen production activity has been studied. Studied the applicability of native or globulinless bovine serum different concentrations in a nutrient medium for the reproduction of FLK BLV cell culture, depending on the cultivation period. The technology of positive serum producing and its standardization on the OIE reference standards in AGID and ELISA.
