Muzyka N. Epizootological monitoring and improvement of laboratory diagnosis of viral enteritis of geese

The thesis is devoted to the studying the epizootic situation of viral enteritis of geese in Ukraine, isolation and investigation of the biological properties of pathogenic strains of pathogen and improve laboratory diagnosis of disease through the development of ELISA kit-system for the detection of specific antibodies to the enteritis virus in blood serum of geese. By epizootic, serological and virological researches, it was established the circulation of the causative agent of viral enteritis in geese farms in 15 regions of Ukraine and AR Crimea. By monitoring of farms in different regions of Ukraine during 2000-2012 there were identified two field isolates of the virus and the studied their biological properties. On the basis of the domestic strain of enteritis BBS 99 it was developed ELISA kit system for the detection of antibodies in blood serum of geese (a series of experimental studies on the purification and concentration of the virus was conducted, positive and negative blood serum of geese are obtained, rules of ELISA maintenance for detection of antibodies to causative agent at studying blood serum in one dilution was defined). The possibility of kit system for the definition post-vaccination immunity to viral enteritis and investigation of epizootic state of farm was proved.
