Volos O. Activities of zemstvos in Kherson guberniya in agriculture (in the end of the ХІХ - beginning of ХХ century)

The object of research: Zemstvos institutions of Kherson province in the last third of the nineteenth - early twentieth century. The aim of research: comprehensive complex analysis of activities of zemstvos of Kherson province in agriculture in the last third of the nineteenth - early twentieth century and objective coverage of zemstvos institutions contribution to the development of agronomic component of the economy of Ukraine. The subject of research: features of practice activities of provincial and county governments of Kherson zemstvos in the agricultural sector and results of achievments of zemstvos institutions in solving of agronomic problems. The methods of research: analyze, synthesis, logical, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-typological. The results of research and novelty: we also defined the regional specifics in activities of Kherson zemstvos in the agricultural sector of economy in southern Ukraine. We described the main forms and methods of cooperation between zemstvos and state institutions, individuals and scientific institutions. We studied the process of formation of agricultural policy of zemstvos in the region and the impact of it on social and economic state of the population of the region. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
