Essay

The main tendencies and peculiarities of national education in the Left Bank and Slobidska Ukraine in XVIII century are highlighted in the dissertation. The state of development of the problem under investigation is found out and the sources of research are classified, the main terms - "national schooling" and "national education tradition" are defined. The complex external and internal factors that have determined the formation and development of national schooling in the Left Bank and Slobidska Ukraine in the XVIII century are revealed. It was determined that the main ones were educational thought and educational activities of educational movement representatives, educative tradition in Hetman families. The author distinguishes the periods and the tendencies of the development of national schooling. It is proved that the highest level the national schooling reached during the "enlightened Hetmanat" of K. Razumovsky. The organizational, content and methodological peculiarities of national schooling educational institutions in the Left Bank and Slobidska Ukraine in the XVIII century are defined. The policy of the Russian government and St. Synod's concerning national schooling of Ukraine in the second half of the XVIII century is characterized.
