Essay

Dissertation is devoted to the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of modernization of the physical training and sports in the university education in Poland. The research terminology is characterized on the basis of systematic study of native and foreign sources. A great number of concepts that comprise the essence of research object and subject, among them: "physical culture", "culture of health", "healthy lifestyle", "physical training", "physical health", "physical recreation" are analyzed. The essence of the phenomenon "modernization of the physical training and sports" from the point of view of Polish, Russian and native researchers is investigated. The author defines "modernization of the physical training and sports in the university education" as innovative transformation process, which is aimed at updating the structure of physical training and sports; reorientation of the purpose and content of physical training and sports on the formation of health culture of the university youth; implementation of modern approaches to management and organization of educational process in this sphere; expansion of the types of motor activity of students. Modern theories of physical training of the leading polish scientists are systematized. It is proved that modernization of physical training and sports in the universities should take place in accordance with the principles of humanization and liberalization, harmonization, based on valeological values and active introduction of innovative technologies in physical training and sports. The author distinguishes four periods of formation and development of physical training and sports in the university education in Poland: 1) initial period (the end of the XVIII century - the beginning of XX century); 2) search period (1918-1939): 3) unification period (1945-1988); 4) modernization period starts from the moment of proclamation of the Republic of Poland in 1989. The personalities that played a significant role in the development of physical training and university sports in the university education of Poland are outlined. The normative-legal aspect of modernization of physical training and sports in the Republic of Poland is characterized. The constitutive value of legislative initiatives for the efficiency of the process of modernization of physical training and sports in the universities is proved. Structural-content and managerial aspects of modernization of physical training and sports in the university education of Poland are considered, which comprise the creation of new structural units of physical training and sports in the universities, have the competence to decide content and organizational issues, to develop and introduce in the educational process the author's programs and change assessment criteria and to introduce Internet technologies. During the generalization of the experience of introduction of innovative technologies and original programs in the process of physical training and sports in the universities of Poland it was proved that the introduction of innovations in the organization of the educational process in physical training allows to change the attitude of the university students to the subject. The modern condition of physical training and sports in native universities is revealed. It is proved that in independent Ukraine begins to form its own policy in the sphere of physical culture and sports, according to the best national traditions. New legislative initiatives are aimed at reorientation of physical training and sports on the formation of the physical and moral health of students, improvement of physical and psychological preparation for further activity on the basis of health orientation; a number of provisions designed to ensure the proper quality of physical training, to provide students with free access to the modern sports infrastructure are introduced. The hierarchy of possibilities of the use of Polish experience on modernization of physical training and sports in the universities of Ukraine on supranational, national, regional and institutional levels is proposed.
