Essay

It was found most informative ISSR-marker system based on threenucleotid motifs to assess intra- and interspecific genetic variability in horses, including wild Przewalski horses. It was showed absolute and not absolute markers that can be used for breed identification. Тhe results of PCR diagnostics of two hereditary diseases of horses - hyperkalіemic periodic paralysis (HYPP) and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) of Ukrainian race breed horses and Arabian horses.The level of cytogenetic variability of horses in the Chornobil exclusion zone was investigated.
