Gychka O. Medical care of the rural population in Ukraine in 1945 - 1964 years

The dissertation research is devoted to an important scientific topic. On the basis of a wide range of sources the medical sanitarian consequences of war and occupation, the process and results of their elimination in the recovery period (1943-1950 years) are comprehensively studied. The sizes of all damages caused to the system of medical institutions of the republic and also health and living conditions of the population have been determined. It was found that the destroying of the Soviet health system by the occupiers, considerable damaged to the medical sanitarian, children's and municipal institutions, poor sanitary epidemiological status of settlements led to a quick deterioration of health of the population, the spread of epidemy of infectious diseases, has negatively affected the dynamics of sickness rate and mortality of all age population categories.
