Object: social work of the U.S. law enforcement agencies with studying youth; aim: to reveal theoretical and organizational principles and practices of social work with studying youth in the law enforcement setting as well as to justify the options of using the best American practices in Ukrainian law enforcement agencies’ social work with studying youth; methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, content analysis, questioning (online-correspondence); novelty: there is definition of the modern principles of contents of social work with studying youth in the U.S. law enforcement agencies; there is emphasis on and description of technologies applied to studying youth in terms of social work in the US law enforcement settings, the results: recommendations have been developed for internal affairs personnel whose duties include preventive and social work with studying youth (local police inspectors, Сriminal Police on Children and Juvenile Affairs); field – social pedagogy
