Object - the process of professional training of future translators of technical literary sources; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested means of professional competencies forming in future translators of technical literary sources with the use of information and communication technologies on the level of their professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the means of professional competencies forming in future translators of technical literary sources with the use of information and communication technologies; the definition of the term "professional competencies of future translators of technical literary sources" as inner potential psychological formations has been provided; the techniques, forms, methods and means of professional competencies forming in future translators of technical literary sources with the use of information and communication technologies have acquired further study; results - the means of professional competencies forming in future translators of technical literary sources with the use of information and communication technologies have been experimentally tested and are recommended for the implementation in the teaching process at technical higher education institutions. The theoretical ideas and scientifically generalized practical data on the problem of the research will be of interest to those students of technical higher education institutions who write course, diploma and Master degree papers, to those engaged in compiling teaching manuals on theory and practice of technical translation and those who deal with editing translated texts and those who provide a technological support of translation activity; field - pedagogy.
