Semeniuk H. Media Viruses as a Part of Content of Ukrainian Network Media.

The dissertation deals with the research in the sphere of media viruses as the phenomena of modern global information space and as a part of Ukrainian network media content. Attention is focused on the progressive civilization changes, modern media and information space transformation, memes and memotypes, connected with undermentioned categories (media activism, cyber activism). New media and network communication are the ground for the aforesaid transformation. The specifics of phenomenon appearance and its formation have been reviewed in the research. The author has clarified media viruses structure and nature and inquired into the peculiarities of their functioning in the media and information space. The well-grounded comprehension of the phenomenon permitted to classify media viruses and to offer improved vision of their singularity.
