Object - the process of professional training of prospective teachers; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated technology of prospective teacher's professional self-cognition stimulation on raising the quality of his/her professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to theoretically substantiate and implement the technology of prospective teacher's professional self-cognition stimulation in the process of professional training, which is understood as an intentionally organized interaction of teachers and students on the basis of cooperation and maximum exposure of one's self-potential; the definition of the term "prospective teacher's professional self-cognition during the process of professional training" is specified as an ability to identify oneself with the teacher's profession and realize the importance of one's own "I"- conception development in pedagogical activity, to reveal and compare one's aptitudes with the demands of professional training; the structure and functions of professional self-cognition have been analysed; the methods and techniques of professional self-cognition efficient in students' individual learning activities and during their pedagogical practice have undergone further study; results - the experimental testing of the technology of prospective teacher's professional self-cognition stimulation during the process of professional training allows for its wide implementation in training Bachelors in higher education institutions. The materials of the research will be helpful in teaching specialized disciplines, psychological and pedagogical subjects, to extracurricular scientific meetings, in teaching specialized courses, specialized seminars, to preparing course papers, students' scientific reports, to raising the quality of professional training of the teachers of different subject areas and to compiling teaching manuals on Pedagogy and Foundations of Pedagogical Mastery for teachers and students; field - pedagogy.
