Yatseva O. Initial material for sugar beet breeding with apomixis elements.

3.The thesis is devoted to theoretical substantiation and practical implementation of the principles and methods of evaluation and selection of initial breeding material of sugar beet with apomixis elements. It was analyzed 150 sugar beet lines of the different genetic origin on the sterility, separate flowerity and ploidy, the most stabile and valuable from them are separated. The study shows the process of tembryogenesis in apomixes genitures. It is established the apomixis type in the best lines with a complex of economic and useful traits. It is revealed morphological features of apomixis lines A1-A4, noted the absence of inbreeding-depression on the basis of plant habitus and utilitarian signs. It was analyzed productive properties of 7 lines at different stages of ontogeny on the basis of root mass, sugar content, dry matter content and chlorophyll under different conditions of mineral fertilizer. The collection of maternal forms with essentially new type of reproduction which can be used as initial material for creation of new hybrids of sugar beet with apomixis elements is refilled.
