Object: future health and safety engineers professional training; goal: to establish, develop and experimentally verify the model of training health and safety engineers, aimed at forming ready to use information technologies in professional activity; methods: the analysis of philosophical, psychological-pedagogical and educational-methodical literature of native and foreign authors concerning the problems of training health and safety engineers in the usage of information technologies in professional activity; questioning, testing, observation, interview applied to assess levels of preparedness of health and safety engineers to the usage of information technologies in professional activity; pedagogical experiment aimed to test certain model components' effectiveness of training health and safety engineers in the application of information technologies in professional activity; statistical methods of data processing, graphic representation of the experiment's results in order to track the levels of preparedness' dynamics of health and safety engineers to the usage of information technologies in professional activity and establishing the scientific reliability of the obtained research results; novelty: the preparation model of health and safety engineers' application of information technologies in professional activity is theoretically grounded, developed and experimentally verified for the first time and includes targeted, theoretical-methodological, organizational- substantial and control-effective blocks, which provides the process of health and safety engineers' formation to be ready to exploit information technologies in professional activity occurring in determination of scientific-pedagogical tasks on substantial-preparatory, operational-performative and creativity searching stages through the specialists' professional training conditions' realization; essence of concepts 'preparedness of health and safety engineers to the usage of information technologies in professional activity', preparedness of health and safety engineers to the usage of information technologies in professional activity structural components (engineering, technological, communicative) are determined and specified; criteria and indicators of health and safety engineers' readiness to the information technologies' application in a professional activity, namely motivational, cognitive, practical-functional, the differences of which are an integrated assessment of needs, knowledge, and skills of engineering and pedagogical activities; levels of preparedness formation (high, enough, medium, low) that reflect the degree of manifestation of criteria and their indicators; the content of training health and safety engineer based on implementation of integrative course 'Information technologies in professional activity' is improved; theory and practice of training health and safety engineers in accordance with the component structure of the ready to use information technologies in their professional activities are gained further development.
