The thesis is devoted to the research of professional Ukrainian and Polish pottery of the second half of the twentieth century. On the basis of archival, museum and factual materials the historical overview of the formation and development of professional schools of art pottery in Lviv and Wroclaw is made, the figures of the leading artists and teachers who have made a significant contribution to the formation of these schools are revealed. The new information about artists and their works is introduced to the scientific current.
