In the thesis an attempt of complex interdisciplinary studying of life of orthodox monastery in the period of the second half of the 40th - the first half of the 60th years of the XX century is done, when the state-church relations changed from a certain degree partner to the acutely conflict. It is concentrated on the state-church relations that initially influenced on monastic daily occurrence. The spheres of functioning of system of monastic daily occurrence in corporation, and also its influence on society in the second half of the 40th - the first half of the 60th years of the XX century are characterized; the social and demographic structure of monks of monasteries is found out; the forms and norms of daily activity of monastic communities are analysed; the life of monks, the interpersonal relations in monastic communities are reproduced; the role of devotees, the church management in monastic life are revealed; a morally-psychological state and moods of a monkhood and believers in the conditions of politically-administrative pressure are analysed. The position of clergy and laymen on policy of the authority according to the monastic communities in USSR territory is characterized.
