Dissertation thesis looks into reforms in education scope of Podillya during accession by Russia in 1793 to the middle of XIX century. On the basis of an objective analysis of complex archival sources, published documents and materials, scientific achievements of domestic and foreign historiography it is thoroughly elucidated place in the region of autocracy policy aimed at its incorporation into the empire state body. It presents general vision of institutional changes in education, that at first steps seen in the almost completed destruction of school network, which mainly operated at Uniate parishes and based on national basis, hegemony of the Polish magnates and Roman Catholic denominations in school and in strengthening the position of the Polish education, and from the beginning of the XIX century, especially from the 30's. - in forming of educational institutions in a growing public oversight and control Russification and unification. It characterizes features of the formation of a network of educational institutions and their types, control system, the organization of training and education of children. It analyzes changes in the spiritual formation of Podolyan and evolution of knowledge of the rural clergy. The effect on educational processes of progressive intellectuals, philanthropy and charity are solved.
