Essay

The object is the names denoting a person in agricultural vocabulary in the Russian language of XVII century; the aim is to characterize names denoting persons in agricultural vocabulary in the Russian language of XVII century in onomasiologic, formal and grammatical, lexical and semantic aspects; to define motivational structures of names denoting persons; methods that are used: general scientific - definition analysis, method of motivational structures modeling, methods of synchronic derivational analysis, descriptive method, descriptive and analytical method, some principles of statistic analysis; and also proper linguistic ones - comparative method and component and semantic analysis; novelty - for the first time in the Russian studies names denoting the person in the Russian language of the XVII century in onomasiologic, formal and grammatical, lexical and semantic aspects are investigated; motivational structures of secondary names and means of their linguistic representation are found out. Limits of agricultural vocabulary are outlined, the amount and the structure of names denoting person in agricultural vocabulary of XVII century are found out; innovations of XVII century in the structure of analyzed lexical and semantic group are distinguished; main thematic groups of agentive nomination are distinguished; the set of semantic and syntactic motivational patterns of names denoting the person, which are new formations of investigated period, is defined; ways and means of formal and grammatical representation, linguistic embodiment of one or another motivational structure of analyzed name group are considered; productive derivational affixes are defined; word-formative variation is described; lexicographical history of analyzed lexemes is deduced; results - the theory and specific factual evidence of the research may be used when teaching the Russian language course at higher education institutions, special courses and special seminars on word building, historical lexicology, onomasiology, theory of nomination. The material of the research study may be effective when compiling method books and reference books, historical defining dictionaries of the Russian language.
