The dissertation analyzes functioning of Polish socio-cultural associations in the western region of Ukraine in 1991-2013. It is defined the preconditions, motives and geography of creation, the internal structure and composition. Their role in the media-space of the region and the character of dialogue with state institutions are lighted. The directions of activity of Polish organizations and their problems are considered.
