Essay

F. Vovk's creative heritage in the context of the formation and development of the Ukrainian people's pedagogy of the end of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth centuries is described in the research. It is shown that the evolution of F. Vovk's scientific-pedagogical and enlightening activities occurred under the influence of the West-European anthropological teaching, the positive philosophy, the theory of social conflict, the European rationalism, the German political historiography and also it underwent changes thanks to the ideas of "narodovol'tsi" and the active participation in "Hromada" movement.
