Essay

The special features of microevolution of dairy herds within several successive generations after introduction of Holstein genetic resources to the breeding process were researched. Holstein cattle were replicated by acclimatizing of heifers and by using of Holstein AI-sires for insemination of local Simmental cattle. Genealogical structure of animals was studied by accounting their maternal heredity. The increase of lifelong productivity of imported cattle was observed, and came along with de-crease of longevity and reproductive ability (р<0,001). If Holstein genetic resources are replicated by insemination of Simmental dams, the first generations show the highest (р<0,001) level of eternal productivity without reduction of longevity and re-productive efficiency.
