Essay

The research analyzes the theoretical contribution of J. Habermas to the development of critical social theory. It is shown that the essential feature that allows to determine a place of the communicative philosophy among other research strategies is an appeal to the problem of linguistic intersubjectivity as an alternative to Cartesian cogito. It is pointed out that the potential of rationality inherent in communication is able to regulate human behavior through the coordination of common action plans of participants of interaction.
