Martyniuk T. Diagnosis and surgical treatment of newborn children with necrotizing enterocolitis.

Object - necrotizing enterocolitis in neonates (NEC); aim to improve the results of surgical treatment of new-born with NEC and intestinal perforations by improving early diagnosis of disease, methods of pathogenetic complex therapy and surgical techniques based on the study of risk factors for its complications in term and preterm infants; methods - clinical, laboratory, instrumental, morphological, statistical; results - a new scientific positions in modern conditions specified clinical symptoms of NEC, NEC major risk factors and their features and compared in term and preterm infants; confirmed position about the fact that NEC is a disease not only premature, but full-term newborns; proved that in spontaneous perforation of the gastrointestinal tract occur vascular muscular dysplasia of the stomach wall or bowel, which are the main risk factors for perforation; designed pathogenetically substantiated individualized approach to the choice of the method of surgery in neonates with NEC, depending on the child's condition, the volume of defeat cancer, its location and the type of perforation; developed and proposed activities and postoperative nutritional support of infants with NEC; branch – medicine.
