The thesis in the light of the contribution M. P. Dragomanov of the humanities in a complex studied the formation, development and implementation of its historical sights. Dragomanov the development of the historical scheme of the Ukrainian people, the study of the defining periods and events in history of Ukraine, including Kyiv Russ and the Cossacks found importance of the creative legacy of scientist for further study of the historical past of Ukraine popularize it among the general population, the development of Ukrainian national idea.
