In dissertation research analyzes the problem of the formation and development of the theory and practice of aesthetic education of students in High School; the concepts and the principles of aesthetic education are determined in the process of aesthetic-based learning of Ukrainian literature; aesthetic values are found in the system of youth targeting and the tasks of aesthetic education of students with the regard to their needs and preferences are selected; the conditions of implementation of aesthetic education are proved in the aesthetic-based process of learning Ukrainian literature in High School; the model of aesthetic education of university students is elaborated by means of Ukrainian literature.
