Berezhko O. Foreign Language Teacher Technology Competence Enhancement in the Aviation postgraduate education system

The thesis is devoted to the compelling issue of foreign language teacher technology competence enhancement in the postgraduate education of the aviation industry. The author has formed integrated knowledge about the process of foreign language teacher technology competence (TC) enhancement in the postgraduate education system. The TC structure, the criteria and indicators for its evaluation have been specified considering the Aviation English teacher work specificity and the postgraduate education peculiarities. The model of scientific and methodological support of Aviation English teacher TC enhancement has been created and a special corresponding course "Train the trainer" has been developed. Moreover, the author has defined and justified the pedagogical conditions that influence the process of TC enhancement. Besides, the guidelines on the technological competence enhancement of foreign language teacher working in the aviation industry have been suggested. The pedagogical experiment has proved the effectiveness of the designed scientific and methodological model supporting the technology competence enhancement of the aviation industry foreign language teachers. It has been concluded the most appropriate methodological approaches to ensure the continuous enhancement of foreign language teacher technology competence are such as systematic; individually oriented, competency building, context-based, active, innovative technological, andragogical and differentiated approaches.
