Essay

The object of the study: severe community acquired pneumonia (CAP); aim - improving treatment of patients with severe community acquired pneumonia by optimizing of differential diagnosis of disease based on diagnostic and prognostic significance of markers of systemic inflammation and cellular immunity status; methods: clinical, functional, scoring on the scales, laboratory, immunologic, tools, statistics; novelty: there were detailed scientific data on the clinical course of severe CAP of different etiologies based on the state of cellular immunity. There were developed further differential-diagnostic criteria of bacterial etiology severe CAP using marker of systemic inflammation PCT. Prognostic role of markers of systemic inflammation and cellular immunity status for assessing effects of severe CAP was established. Antibiotic treatment of patients with severe CAP was optimized by developing objective criteria evaluating effectiveness and adequacy of etiotropic treatment using dynamic level of PCT. Field of application - medicine.
