Essay

The thesis is devoted to the theoretic basis and practical approaches to the problem of primary education content modelling in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The definitions of the terms "primary education curriculum" is revealed and its characteristics are determined. The basic periods of primary curriculum development in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are worked out. The author characterized general features of primary education content development in European countries. It is revealed that the primary content modelling in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is considered as theoretical reflection of the process of selection, structuring, passing and assessing of the level of its assimilation by schoolchildren according to the defined objectives. The interpretative model of primary education content structuring is build, which consists of three blocks: purpose, content and process, result and assessing. The approaches to the model designing and content filling are given in the form of scheme based on the key curriculum components. The recommendations for the positive British experience application under conditions of Ukrainian primary school modernization are developed at strategic, didactic, and research levels.
