Essay

The research revealed methodological approaches to the study of early Christian monastic training days. The basic models of monastic education of the IV-VI-th centuries (ascetic-monastery, сenobitic, ascetic-Christian, intellectually-Christian) are identified. The evolution of views on the education system of early Christian monasticism in the national humanitarian thought the second half of XIX-XX centuries is analyzed on the source database. Manuscript reveals the stages and the main lines of research issues; there also carried reassessment of views of researchers. The work proves the possible ways of implementation of the experience of the early Christian monastic model of education at the present stage of development of the national education.
