Myshkareva S. Educative activity of Orthodox Brotherhoods in Western Ukraine in the interwar period (1921-1939)

The dissertation analyses the educational activity of the Orthodox Brotherhoods in Western Ukraine in the interwar period (1921 - 1939). Based on the interdisciplinary approach to the investigated problem the main trends in educational activities of the Orthodox Brotherhoods in Western Ukraine in the following period are outlined, they are territorial, ethnic, methodical and activity ones. The influence of educational development of Western Ukraine on educational activity of the Orthodox Brotherhoods is revealed. Organizational principles, trends and forms of educational activity of the Orthodox Brotherhoods are specified. The paper explains their role in formation of approaches and methods for teaching the Law of God and children' religious education. The ways of extrapolation of Orthodox Brotherhoods in a modern educational environment of Ukraine are singled out.
