Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the socio-philosophical study of the phenomenon of heroism. The understanding of the historical form and regularities of the process of heroism is shown; the relation between objective and subjective reasons of heroism is established. The phenomenon of heroism is considered in the European and Ukrainian philosophical discourse. Ethnic existential dimension of the phenomenon of heroism reveals the existential aspects of homo heroicus and features of the Ukrainian mentality as the basis for choosing between vita minima and vita heroic.
