Kovalova D. Professional socialization of civil servants of the executive authorities at the regional level in Ukraine

The aim of the research is the study of professional socialization of civil servants of the executive authorities at the regional level in Ukraine and the development of recommendations for the application of scientific results in the practice of public administration. The object of research is civil servants as a socio-professional community. The subject of study is the professional socialization of civil servants of the executive authorities at the regional level in Ukraine. In the thesis research, based on the analysis of scientific literature and regulatory framework, the concepts of "professional socialization", "professionalisation" of civil servants of the executive power are defined. The thesis investigated and identified theoretical and methodological foundations of identity formation of a civil servant; analyzed the influence of factors and mechanisms of professional socialization on personality development of a civil servant; proposed a complex model of the process of professional socialization of civil servants, which reveals its functional components, and gives recommendations for the creation of conditions which are based on the European principles of state administration, for successful professional socialization of employees in the executive authorities at the regional level in Ukraine.
