Object - professional development of specialists in Economics in the process of Humanities studies; aim - to find out the influence of pedagogical interaction of teachers and undergraduates in the process of Humanities studies on the professional development of personality of future specialist in Economics; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to investigate, theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the components of professional development of a specialist in Economics in the process of Humanities studies; the definition of the term " professional development of a specialist" is specified as a long-term dynamic process presupposing a positive attitude towards a chosen profession and devoted to the acquisition of professional knowledge, professional skills, professionally valuable personal qualities providing for the efficiency of professional activity; the term "pedagogical interaction" is defined as a specific type of teacher's activity based on teacher's humanistic orientation and directed at raising the efficiency of interaction with students; the criteria and indices of the levels of professional development of future specialists in Economics are analysed; the content and modes of teaching in the process of Humanities studies designed for future specialists in Economics have acquired further study; results - the components of professional development of a specialist in Economics in the process of Humanities studies have been experimentally tested and are recommended for the implementation at higher education institutions. The research has allowed for the introduction of changes in the content of lectures and seminars on Humanities; the teaching materials on the problem of the research for teachers and students have been prepared, the teaching course "Foundations of Pedagogical Interaction" has been worked out. The theoretical and methodological results of the research may be used in order to improve the quality of the content of practical classes on Humanities, for writing course, diploma and Master degree papers at higher education institutions of III-IV levels of accreditation, they may be considered and used for the efficient organization of pedagogical practice and professional development of teachers and pedagogical authorities; field - pedagogy.
