Essay

Object of research: the processes of sugar beet seed germination, plant growth and development subject to stimulation methods. Goal of research: to determine the effect of seeds stimulation when treated at the seed factory on seeds planting and productive properties, to determine its mechanism and to ground optimal stimulation modes. Research methods: laboratory (determination of the hybrid seeds quality according to existing standards and methods, of germ state as dependant on the waking modes); field (quantification of sugar beet productivity combined with monitoring of plant growth and development peculiarities, observations on the environmental conditions according to the methods by All-Union Institute of Sugar Beet 1986); mathematical-statistical (evaluation of the results reliability).Thesis deals with the influence of seed stimulation in the process of its preparation for sowing and productive properties on seed plant, elucidation of the mechanism of its action and development and scientific substantiation of optimal regimes of stimulation conducting. In the thesis the reasonable theoretical principles and practical recommendations developing for pre-seed preparation of seed that collectively solve the scientific task of pelleted sugar beet seed quality improving is shown. For the first time the processes that provide the intensity of seed germination increased by its stimulating of embryo awakening with subsequent his suspension it is detected. It is experimentally proved that seed stimulation by obstacles removing for germination - the part of perisperm shell is provided a significant increase in the intensity of its germination and especially in the early stages of germination. In studying of sugar beet seed productive properties depending on the method of its stimulation are established the direct correlation of seed germination intensity, its field germination, yield and sugar yield per hectare.
