Object - the process of professional training of students of departments of Arts at higher education pedagogical institutions; the aim - to find out the influence of theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested technology on raising the level of artistic technique formation in future teachers of Music in the process of professional training; methods - theoretical, empirical, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to provide theoretical substantiation and experimental testing of the stages of pedagogical technology providing for artistic technique forming in future teachers of Music; the definition of the term " specialized training of future teacher of Music" is offered and specified as a process and result of acquisition of the integral system of professional-pedagogical and specialized knowledge, skills and habits of pedagogical, performance and artistic techniques facilitating the mastery of the content of musical-pedagogical education and ensuring a high level of students' future professional activity; the definition of the term "artistic technique of future teacher of Music" is considered and determined as a combination of knowledge and skills of musical-pedagogical and musical-performance activities that is necessary for rendering the inner content of an artistic image of some musical work; the content of structural elements of the artistic technique of future teachers of Music is analysed; the forms and methods of artistic technique forming in future teachers of Music have acquired further analysis; results - the theoretically substantiated technology of artistic technique forming in future teachers of Music has undergone experimental testing and is recommended for the implementation in the teaching process at the departments of Arts of modern higher education pedagogical institutions and in the sphere of professional development of teachers of Music. The materials and results of the research may serve as a basis for the renewal of the content of teaching courses on "Stage Mastery", "Introduction into Speciality", "Methodology of Musical Education", "School Repertoire Practice" as well as for compiling curriculum for musical-performance training of future teachers of Music, for the discussion at scientific and methodological seminars, for writing course, diploma and Master degree papers and in the organization of out of class educational activities.; field - pedagogy.
