Chumak Y. Treatment optimization and medical rehabilitation of patients with bronchial asthma combined with chronic non-alcoholic steatohepatitis

The object of research: moderate bronchial asthma (BA), combined with chronic non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH); purpose - to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of patients with moderate BA combined with NASH,by means of additional prescription, besides conventional treatments, of preparations of pentoxifylline extended and fenspiride during BA exacerbation period, as well as of the preparation omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) during patient's' medical rehabilitation; methods: questionnaires, clinical, biochemical, immunol, instrumental, statistics; novelty: for the first time in the serum and urine of patients with comorbid BA and NASH have been defined the content of leykotrien (LT) B4 and tromboxan (Tx) B2. It proves a negative effect of increasing the content of these eicosanoids in the serum on the state of the respiratory function and microcirculation in patients BA combined with NASH. It was found that conventional treatment did not significantly affect the content of LTB4 and TxB2 in serum of patients with BA associated with NASH. The possibility and desirability of the inclusion of additional drugs and pentoxifylline sustained fenspiride treatment exacerbation BA in combination with NASH and drug omega-3 PUFAs - at the stage of medical rehabilitation in patients with BA associated with NASH was justified.
