Lapushniak M. Population of the Chernivtsi Oblast: Life Quality Social-Geographic Assessment

The essence of the category of "population's life quality" is disclosed from the point of view of social geography. With a foundation of national and foreign scientists, methods to assess life quality of population are improved, as well as approbated in the Chernivtsi Oblast. Regional factors that effect upon formation of people's life quality within the studied region. The place of the Chernivtsi Oblast among all other regions of Ukraine with respect to life quality is identified. By-component and integral assessment of people's of the oblast life quality is conducted. With regard to specificity of life quality, types of administrative-territorial units are defined on the basis of multidimensional typification. Priority directions to improve people's of the oblast life quality are substantiated.
