The research is dedicated to the interrelation of the Soviet totelitarian regime and intelligentsia of the Southern Ukraine with regard to the sociopolitical changes which have taken place during the 1920th-1930th. The main mechanisms of formation and organized implementation of repressive and punitive policy of the authority towards the abovementioned category of citizens based on the archive documents is revealed.
